Letters from the fans.

Maureen R. Knight - "Karla came to work for us in September 2005 to care for our two young children. I knew from the beginning that she was uncommonly responsible (she was incredibly diligent in our correspondence that Summer while she still resided in Vermont) and exceptional with children (my children fell in love with her in the first thirty minutes she was at our house during the interview). But I could not have imagined how unbelievable she would be, let alone that we would be fortunate enough to have her for four more years."

Elaine Hitt - "I have worked with Karla for three years at Dulles South Pre-school where she has taught and instructed Pre-school/Kindergarten classes. She creates and teaches a variety of classes to help children in all areas of development. Karla is inventive, creative and exceptionally bright at her job. Using a great variety of teaching methods she is able to guide the students as they develop, grow, and learn! She is attentive to children's individual learning style and motivates them as they learn. Her ability to connect with her students and her talent at teaching simple concepts, as well as more advanced topics, are both truly superior. Her passion for working with children and her enthusiasm in the classroom are both bluntly visible to everyone around her."

Robert Walters - "Karla is to children's classes what Rachel Ray is to cooking; a breath of fresh air, approachable, likeable, talented, grass-roots, and contagious. She has a big smile, a great laugh, and a bottomless reservoir of energy. She loves being around children, and they love being around her. But she doesn't just "babysit" the kids, she constantly finds new and creative ways for them to play and learn. We've seen first-hand how Karla can handle sick kids, unruly kids, and hyperactive kids - sometimes all in the same day! She's a natural around children. But I've also noticed something very compelling; the adults around her tend to absorb some of her contagious enthusiasm. I've seen other teachers and staff in the center become more outgoing and confident, just by working around Karla. That's awesome."
